The Safehouse Program is looking for committed, trustworthy individuals who can provide 24/7 consistent supervision, support, and care for female youth with severe trauma. Direct Care Coaches teach and model therapeutic methods of managing stress, positive behavioral practices, and life skills. DCCs also pass medications, chart daily care notes, communicate effectively with other staff, deescalate situations calmly, and must be willing to receiving ongoing training and feedback for professional development and quality of programming for the girls. Prism Project provides training.

Thank you to our many generous and wonderful community partners! We could not do what we do without the support and united efforts to provide education to the community and restorative services. 
If you would like more information on partnership opportunities for your business, team, or organization please connect with us! There are a variety of ways to support the healing journey here at the Safehouse Program!
Our current needs list includes;
  • Gift cards to restaurants for outings and special dinners for residents.
  • Gift certificates for museum tickets, the movies, and other off-site activities for residents. 
  • Monthly Therapy Expenses ~ $5,000.
  • Monthly Transportation Costs and Van Maintenance ~ $500.
  • Gift cards to Costco, Sam’s, Walmart for household supplies and resident personal care needs.
  • Staff professional development and state required training ~ up to $30,000 annually.
  • Employee Appreciation ~ items such as gift baskets, gift cards for coffee or food, etc to show appreciation to our amazing staff.
  • Industrial Printer or monthly ink supply
  • Lawn mower repair ~ a new motor will be needed soon!
  • Driveway expansion ~ expand parking capacity and reduce damage to property/grounds around the driveway. 
  • Outdoor Expansion ~ we would like to make updates and improvements to our outdoor areas for activities and to help improve the space to promote healing and recovery. This includes items such as outdoor swing, gazebo, mulch, garden plants, camping hammocks, rocking chairs, repairs to tennis court, standing basketball hoop, and outdoor yard games.

  • While you’re shopping please consider Amazon or Target gift cards to support resident needs for clothing and personal care.

  • Comfort items for residents; such as balance boards, soft/shaggy rugs, balance balls, weighted blankets, heated blankets, gift cards to purchase individualized hair/skin care products

  • Activities for Activity Room; such as puzzles, ping pong table, shelving, Nintendo switch, chess table set, air hockey table, indoor basketball set

  • Sensory Items; such as hanging chair, compression sensory swing, bean bag chair, (and other sensory activities found at thesensorypath.com)

  • High Quality Fidgets; such as The Calm Ball, Expandable Ball, magnetic rings, fidget spinner, fidget cube, tangles sensory toys, and other transportable fidgets
