Celebrating Milestones That Strengthen Our Mission

July 17, 2026

At Prism Project, every milestone we achieve strengthens our ability to provide long-term, trauma-informed restorative care for child survivors of human trafficking. Over the past several months, our team has completed an extraordinary season of evaluations, certifications, inspections, and program reviews—and we are excited to share the results.

Safe House Project Certified

One of our proudest accomplishments this year is becoming officially Safe House Project Certified.

Safe House Project’s certification is more than a credential—it is a rigorous, survivor-informed process that evaluates residential programs against nationally recognized standards for governance, operations, trauma-informed care, and organizational excellence. Developed with input from survivor consultants, mental health professionals, physicians, and anti-trafficking experts, the certification is designed to ensure safe homes provide ethical, effective, and sustainable care while continuously pursuing excellence.

Most importantly, this milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring every child entrusted to our care receives compassionate, survivor-centered services in an environment where healing, safety, and hope remain at the heart of everything we do.

Awarded Grant from the Foundation for Women and Children Enslaved in War

We are honored to have been awarded grant funding with WCEW, which will strengthen our commitment to providing high-quality, trauma-informed care for child survivors of human trafficking.

This funding will support quality improvement initiatives, specialized staff training, and survivor-informed professional development. Over the next year, Prism Project will offer workshops designed to enhance staff knowledge, strengthen trauma-informed practices, and promote continuous learning. The grant also supports a survivor consultant whose lived experience will help guide workshop planning and facilitation.

By investing in our team, we continue to strengthen the care we provide and better support each child’s journey toward healing and restoration.

Excellence Recognized

This summer, we also successfully completed our State Contract Evaluation and our Licensing Interim Inspection, receiving zero findings of non-compliance. These accomplishments reflect the consistency, professionalism, and accountability that our team demonstrates every day—not just during evaluations, but in every interaction with the youth we serve.

Perhaps our most significant achievement is earning a Three-Year CARF Accreditation, the highest level of accreditation awarded by CARF.

During the survey, one comment from our reviewer stood out. She shared that after surveying many organizations, it was refreshing to accredit one that is performing at such a high level. That recognition belongs to our entire team and reflects the culture of excellence we strive to maintain.

More Than Certifications

These accomplishments are not the result of a few weeks of preparation. They are built through the daily commitment of a dedicated team—thoughtful documentation, compassionate relationships, flexibility, teamwork, and a shared commitment to providing exceptional, trauma-informed care.

Every milestone strengthens our reputation with licensing agencies, referral partners, and community organizations. More importantly, they affirm that children entrusted to our care are receiving safe, high-quality services from professionals who genuinely care about their healing and future.

While these achievements are certainly worth celebrating, we also see them as the beginning of our next chapter. Each review provided valuable opportunities to learn, grow, and continue strengthening our programs so we can better serve survivors for years to come. We have goals that we will continue to work towards.

We are incredibly grateful for our staff, board members, referral partners, donors, volunteers, and community supporters who make this work possible. Your partnership allows Prism Project to continue providing hope, healing, and long-term restorative care to child survivors of human trafficking.

Together, we are building a future where every child has the opportunity to heal, dream, and thrive.
