Our hearts are full of gratitude and pride as we celebrate a meaningful milestone for Prism Project. On November 5, 2025, we were honored to receive the 2025 Nonprofit Impact Award at the Flint & Genesee Chamber’s Arts of Achievement Awards—an acknowledgment that reflects the heart, dedication, and collective effort of our entire team and community. Prism Project has earned this award by tangibly improving the lives of individuals or communities in Flint & Genesee County and being recognized as a positive force locally, contributing to quality of life, community well‑being, or solving pressing local challenges.
Being part of such a beautiful evening was truly inspiring. Held at the FIM Capitol Theatre in downtown Flint, the room was filled with brilliant, compassionate individuals and organizations, all working tirelessly to make a difference across Flint, Genesee County, and beyond. There was a shared sense of purpose in the air—stories of perseverance, service, and hope woven together in a powerful reminder that meaningful change happens when communities come together. It was humbling to stand shoulder to shoulder with so many who are deeply committed to serving others.
This recognition belongs to every person who has contributed to our mission. Every program delivered, every girl served, and every extra effort made has helped make this achievement possible. Creating Michigan’s first-of-its-kind Safehouse Program for children has not been an easy endeavor. It has come with challenges, victories, painful growth, and countless lessons along the way. Through it all, our staff has remained compassionate, resilient, and committed to continually pushing forward—for those we serve, for one another, and for the broader community.
We are incredibly proud of this team and deeply grateful for the privilege of walking alongside these amazing young ladies in their healing journeys. Congratulations to all of the nominees and award recipients who were celebrated that evening.
